Barcelona vs Real Valladolid : Lionel Messi creates another Historic Milestone breaking Pele's record
Barcelona will enjoy the Christmas break with a four-game unbeaten streak in La Liga with a third win in the four matches thanks to a 3-0 victory over Real Valladolid at the José Zorrilla Stadium.
Coming from a 2-2 draw against Valencia, Barca manager Ronald Koeman made some tactical changes by depoying three in the back against Real Valladolid. The lineup changes for this week worked as Martin Braithwaite and Sergino Dest were pushed to play higher, which allowed for more fluid passing and ball movement.
Barcelona managed to create good chances and scored twice in the first half: first goal scored by Clément Lenglet who found himself all alone in the box by a amazing cross from Messi, then Martin Braithwaite scored a brilliant goal after a great pass by Messi and a perfect cross from Sergiño Dest.
Messi scored the final goal due to amazing pass from De Jong and Pedri and finished a great triangle with a powerful finish. Messi scored the goal in 65th minute and it created a historic milestone for the legendary player.
The goal marked 644 goals for Messi with Barcelona, breaking the previous all-time record by Brazlian star Pele for most goals ever with a single club.
