PUBG Mobile announces comeback in India, Company makes $100 million investment

PUBG Mobile is marking its return to India in a brand new avatar according to it's parent company PUBG Corporation.


The developers have announced that they will launch a new game which will be named PUBG Mobile India for their Indian players.


PUBG Mobile was on the list of apps that was banned in September by the Indian government due to security reasons. 

After the ban on the game, PUBG Corporation announced that it will no longer approve the PUBG Mobile franchise to China-based Tencent Games in India.


In addition to that, the company also said that it plans to make investment worth $100 million in India which is one of the largest markets of PUBG Mobile, to help the local video game,entertainment, and IT industries ecosystems.

The developers have also made a lot of changes. These changes include a virtual simulation training ground setting, clothes for new players, and green hit effects instead of red effects. It will also add a feature to help parents restrict game time for the younger players.


Before the ban on the game in early September, PUBG Mobile had a massive over 50 million monthly active users in India which was more than any other mobile game in the country.


Although it's still not clear for now that whether the Indian government has approved PUBG Corporation’s move.
