Farmers protest in Delhi : Police uses tear gases and water cannon to stop them
Huge number of farmers from several states have begun to move towards New Delhi as part of the ‘Dilli Chalo’ protest called for November 26 and 27 against the centre's contentious Farm laws

The BJP governments in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand have adopted severe actions including arresting more than 100 local farmer leaders, detaining several others and preventing movement through states.

Haryana heavily barricaded its borders before the protest started and Punjab suspended its bus service to the near states to stop the march. Water cannons were used against farmers near Kurukshetra.

In Uttar Pradesh, many rallies from Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand were stopped. As farmers continue to make their way to the Delhi, Police have fired tear gases, water cannons and have stopped them in several places from progressing towards Delhi.

At Singhu border the Delhi Police set up barbed wires and barricades to stop farmers march heading towards the capital Delhi. The city police force are using brute tactics by putting up trolleys filled with mud, pile of boulders, in order to put a break to farmers' efforts.
