Diego Maradona passes away, Legend Footballer dies due to Heart Attack

Argentinian Football legend also known by many as the greatest footballer of all time- Diego Maradona passed away on Wednesday due to a heart attack, according to media reports.

Maradona was admitted to hospital earlier this month after subdural hematoma and underwent surgery for a blood clot on the brain.

Maradona, one of the best footballers of all time helped Argentina win the World Cup in 1986, when he was at the peak of his legendary career.

He played club football for Boca Juniors, Napoli and FC Barcelona among others and was praised by millions of fans for his brilliant skills.

Maradona was Argentina's golden boy and his scoring abilities and flair in dribbling past opponents put him into the hall of soccer fame, but the star footballer also struggled to cope with his battles with addiction which became regular global news.

“The best of the lot, no question," Brazil’s Zico, a legend himself,said in 2005. “I saw Maradona do things that God himself would doubt were possible."

Those words seems true as Maradona was responsible for the infamous 'Hand of God'  goal that eliminated England from the 1986  world cup tournament. Replays later showed that Maradona fist, rather than his head, hit the ball into the net, a foul everyone missed.

Maradona is and will be one of the best footballers the world ever witnessed and his legacy will remain forever.
